Our Story

Cooked with Love.

Served from the Heart.

Fifteen years of feeding families, friends and first-time guests in South London — the same recipes, the same generosity, the same love.

Est. 2010

A Kitchen Built on Memory.

Halit Kitchen started as a small family kitchen in 2010 with one mission — to bring the flavours of Lagos Sunday lunches, Ibadan weddings and Benin naming ceremonies to the diaspora without shortcuts or apology.

Every recipe on our menu has a story behind it. Our Egusi is simmered for hours with ugwu and bitter leaf just the way grandmothers do it. Our jollof is cooked over open flame for that unmistakable party-pot smoke. Our puff-puff is hand-rolled to order. It’s the Nigerian way.

Today we serve hundreds of guests every week from our home in Purley — dining in, collecting, ordering via Uber Eats and placing bulk orders for parties across London. Whatever way you come to us, you’re family.

What We Stand For

Three Pots. Three Promises.
